Who Are ACS Carpet Cleaning?

 

ACS carpet cleaning is a local,  family-owned, and run business. It consists of me, Perry, my wife Marina, and my daughter Jasmine.

I became a carpet cleaner through a series of flukes.

Let me explain…

I actually got into carpet cleaning because of a really bad carpet cleaning job that somebody did for me!

It was way back in 1989, and I had just been made redundant from the only job I\’d ever had. I was a craftsman paper maker. When the company closed, I had no idea what to do.

Shortly after that, I had a guy in to clean my carpets. He did the whole house in around half an hour, the carpets were wet for days and when they did dry, they looked like they’d never been cleaned. I felt conned.

I thought about it and decided that I could do better myself.

So, I got on some courses, bought a machine and cleaned my carpets and then my friend\’s carpets, to get some experience.

Boy, I had no idea how tough starting a business would be!

Since then I have spent well over £100,000 just on training and probably close to a million pounds on my business overall.  I’ve been to America twice to see how the best in the world clean carpets and we’ve cleaned over 12 million square feet of carpet and thousands of sofas and chairs and rugs.

I’m telling you this not to brag, but to help you understand why we’re different.

Here\’s the point…

I could have just become another cheap and cheerful carpet cleaner. But I’m not like that! When I do something, I want to do it well.

 

And I still make sure that we all still stick to the same high standards. I may be a lot older now, but my enthusiasm and determination to do a great job remains the same more than 30 years on.
