How do we charge?
Our minimum charge for any service starts at just £75, ensuring that our high-quality carpet cleaning expertise is accessible to everyone. From there, the pricing varies depending on several factors such as the size of the room or area, the type of carpet, the degree of soiling, and any additional treatments you may require.
Let’s break it down further.
For example, smaller rooms or areas can be as low as £30, while larger spaces might fall within the £60 to £150 range. On one occasion we did one room that was over 10,000 square feet. But it was only one big room. It took 2 people 8 hours to complete. You can imagine the fee for it wasn’t £50. It’s crucial to note that prices are dependent on the unique characteristics of each carpet and the specific needs of your home.
Customers often ask why we don’t have a set price per room. But imagine how unfair this is. Let’s say, for example, one person has a bedroom carpet they want to get cleaned. They’ve just decorated the room and they have emptied all of the furniture. The carpet is not stained and just needs freshening up. Now imagine another person has a bedroom carpet they want to get cleaned. It is slightly larger. They want the carpet cleaner to move all the furniture. It is quite dirty and has some stubborn stains. It has a minor odour that needs treating. Should both rooms be priced the same? What if someone wants the bed moved, but not the wardrobes? What if there are lots of stains or only a few? It quickly becomes clear that room pricing is always going to be unfair to someone.

These include moving furniture, stain protection, stain removal, pest control, odour control, speed drying, allergy treatments, and more. Each of these treatments contributes to the overall pricing, as they require additional time, effort, products, and specialised expertise.

While I understand that you may find examples of cheap carpet cleaning companies that offer their services at a low price, it’s important to note that quality and customer satisfaction should always be the top priority. At ACS, we believe in providing a superior service that leaves our customers completely satisfied with the results.
It’s true that there may be companies out there that advertise extremely low prices, often bait-and-switch companies that offer 3 rooms for £60. It’s essential to consider the potential trade-offs.
These companies may cut corners by using out-of-date equipment, employing inexperienced technicians, or rushing through the cleaning process. The cheap price (the bait), is often changed to a very high price (the switch) through very clever wording. As a result, customers often find themselves disappointed with the outcome, feeling like they wasted their money and time, or paid many hundreds of pounds for work they could have got for much less, and expected to only pay £60.
